Episode: the Tokyo experience (at Tokyo day 2)
Monday, April 19, 2010

Had breakfast with my room mate Shah. I just ate what I thought was fine. Suddenly it tasted a bit different. Then I realised that it could be pork. Oh man. Only the 2nd day I've ate something not Halal. I stopped eating after that.

Oh yeah, since I am in Tokyo, I planned to wear something really different. I wore the jacket that I bought from Harajuku, with a topman shirt inside and a tie, and bottom, I wore shorts. Plus, I did up my hair. Now, I am ready to go out to the streets of Tokyo.

That is our bus.

Ronnie pointed to the direction of the bus.

We headed down to a park. I am not sure where it is but it looks nice.

We landed there and we just pose and take pictures.

Only after a while, we had to move to another place. The park was not the destination. So, we walked down to the actual destination. By the time we got there, it was time to head back to the bus.

Isa with dry lips.

Cool shot. The place looks empty and the road looks like its never ending.

Here is Team Ey! from the electrolux project. Carolyn, Glenn, Ivan and myself.

Next we go down to Tokyo midtown.
Had to past this park.

A debrief before they let us go.

Muji in Tokyo!
Design touch exhibition.

Structures there are awesome too.

Hey! Nice!
Look at this. It looks like a handphone, but it is a caller. This device will call us to tell us that our food is ready and we have to go collect it at the counter.

Pizza is ready.

Another 7-eleven store that is awesome.

Then, we head down to Design Tide exhibition. The place was fantastic. I do not know how many cotton wool they used, but it was like everywhere. Look.

I like this table.

Next, we were suppose to head down to design sight 21-21 and listen to Naoto Fukasawa give a talk, but he gave it in Japanese. None of us understand, so we had extra time to roam around the place.

In the bus again. It was 5pm, and it looks dark outside. Ronnie bring us to somewhere near our hotel to discover and have our own dinner.

LOVE in Japan.

This was the side of Japan that I've been waiting to see. Look, nice right?

With all the lights and advertisement, this is Tokyo.

Ok, time for dinner. We all split up and I ended up with Hentong, Glenn and Carolyn. We ate here.

A vending machine for food. Once you order, you wait until your turn to go in and then as you seat, the food is already prepared fresh on your table.

This was what I ate.
I have no idea on how to eat it, so I just mixed up everything (without the Coke) and ate it all up. The rest had awesome Ramen.

I wondered what this was, so I pressed the button. The next second the waiter came to me asking what I want to order. I thought that it was some slot machine, but I guess I was wrong.

My battery died off right after this. Well, after dinner, we find our own way back to the hotel. It took us some time, but we manage to find our way. In between that time, we played in some arcade and did some shopping.
