Episode: does anybody care?
Thursday, July 31, 2008

Got to school wearing a fall precaution band. That was what my sister told me. I am feeling better, but I still cannot get rid of this headache. Since, my head is spinning, I thought that is would be a great "Aidiea" to wear the fall precaution band to school.

Come to school, I did up 'EXIT's short power point presentation and other works. I looked at whats the rest my classmates doing. They told me that they were doing some CRS work. Other groups are doing it also. How come my group members did not inform me about this? Must I find out by other groups than I would know about it? The submission is tomorrow at 12noon. Throughout the day, I was waiting for them to get the CRS work started. It seems, that they do not really care about it, so I just pretend that since on that day I was absent, and I knew nothing about it at all.

Then, I went to hand-in my MC to the School of Design office. The class was as per normal for today. I was really waiting for Syafiq's funny video presentation today, but when they wanted to play the video, it crashed the laptop. It was Paul's laptop. I can see that during that moment, he was really2 worried. It soon got back up again, but by then the class was over.

Went home after that. I need more rest to recover. There are still lots of work left to do. I should get started.

Episode: road to recovery
Wednesday, July 30, 2008

Well, I got up today still feeling sick. Today was GEMS submissions, so I had to submit it today. Went to school at around 11+, went up the business hill left me breathless. By the time, I reached the top, I quickly took a seat and wait for my gal to arrive to send me her thumb drive. Soon she arrived, and gave it to me then left. I knew I had to catch my breath, as the journey to my studio is quite far, so I sat there for a while before I go off.

Got my gal's thumb drive to print her GEMS work. Got to my studio, and I printed it as soon as I got my laptop on.

While it was printing, I saw the SP Trexi on Rui Hon's desk. I want one too..hehe. Actually, it is for the guest lecturer this Friday when the 2nd "EXIT" begins. He is so lucky.

Then, after that went for GEMS with my gal to submit the works. After submitting, we went home. On the way home on the MRT, she will be looking at other people. Sometimes, I do not get it. When I am right in front of her, she seems to try very hard to look away. Am I not interesting enough to look at? I have no idea.

Anyways, got home and got started on my work for the "EXIT" exhibition this Friday. Took my medications and had some rest.

What was interesting was that, though my world seems to be spinning, my 5 senses seem to improve. I can taste very delicate things. For example, the Maggi Mi I cooked, I tasted the mi up to its chemicals. I can smell my mom's cooking even when my door is closed, and mind you that I am even one floor higher than our kitchen. I can hear the lecture that my dad gave my sister behind closed doors. I could feel different textures that are finer. Though my vision are still the same, but when I took out my specs, my eyes starts to focus much faster. It is weird, but I could not have felt better in my life.

Episode: bedridden
Tuesday, July 29, 2008

Got up at 8. Then my dad took me to his company clinic. On the way there, I got car sick. The stench of durian in my dad's car made it worse. When we got there, it was closed. It seems that the doctor went for a vacation or something like that.

Then, we went home. We went to my area's clinic. Then, the nurse said that I had to wait two hours to see the doctor. So, we decided to make an appointment at 1 instead. Soon, it was 1, but I got there quite late as it was hard for me to get out of bed.

I read the sign there. It said, due to long queue, consultation will be after 4.30. I thought that I was late and had to wait until 4.30, but at 1.30 the nurse called me up to see the doctor. The doctor then prescribed me some medicine. The total cost was around $28, and I got three days MC. I told Ivan to tell my lecturer and the rest of my classmates. I really wanted to go to school today, but due to my weak condition now, I am unable to.

For the first time in Poly life, I am absent. There goes my record. For the rest of the day, I lay on my bed, taking a lot of rest.

Episode : sickening
Monday, July 28, 2008

Well, got to school early in the morning. I am still feeling unwell. Today was the submission for one of the design competition held by Shu Uemura. That was the reason why I cannot skip school today. I was also never absent so far in Poly life. Another record I like to keep.

Anyways, today's class was about packaging design. After that, there was a lecture on how to enhance our 3D modeling skills. Though I was sick, I tried to pay attention, but in the end, my headache got the better of me. All in all, I have fever, cough, headache, flu, injured right ankle and muscle aches. It was very sickening. The whole day I was fighting against all of these. Everything else was fine, but the one sickness that I hate the most is having a headache. It was messing with my brain the whole time.

After the lesson, I went to the workshop to cut out more of my Muji design competition model. In the end, I made two 15cm, two 20cm and two 30cm rulers. This was for the 'EXIT' exhibition that is going to be held on Friday night at my studio. I was assigned the role of an entertainment manager. Though Syafiq helped explain to me, I was still clueless on what exactly that was.

Just when I thought that most submissions were over, here comes another. Sickening man. Oh ya, another thing that pisses me off today was due to today's submissions. I was suppose to collect the soft copies of Shu Uemura from all my classmates. The sickening part was that by 12(which was suppose to be the submission deadline) only a few sent it to me. Then I asked my lecturer what time is the latest submission, she said at 5 today. My goodness, should I wait until that time for my classmates to submit? No way! Considering the fact that I was sick, I went home early. I mean, man please be considerate.

Anyways, waited for my gal to end her class so that I could go home with her. I am so sorry for being very quiet through out the journey, but deep down I was thankful that she is there by my side. Got home, I crashed. Then I woke up to eat some food and gobbled down some Panadol before I bathed to reduce my fever. Then I went to sleep again. Siying disturbed my sleep when she messaged me at around 6. I felt slightly better when I woke up. All I needed was some water and comfort form people around me.

Episode: my 100th blog entry
Sunday, July 27, 2008

Today is my 100th blog entry. After starting my blog, I blog everyday without fail, in the end I am here. Though it is not really something to celebrate, but come on, I have reached 100 entries. No, having this blog does not mean I have a lot of free time, it is just that before this, I kept a diary. In that diary, I did the same thing, everyday post something new. I am kind of used to it. It lets it express my feelings, and after I do, I feel much better.

Anyways, today I was suppose to meet the guys for a soccer match at 8.30, but I woke up at 8.45. Yesterday was such a tiring day, it caused me to be late.

I quickly got up and get on my way to West View Primary School. Though I knew it was around Bukit Panjang area, I seem lost. So, I got on the LRT. It has been such a long time since I last took the LRT. I used to live at Bangkit road, and my primary school was Bukit Panjang Primary. Then I moved to Bukit Batok Central, but it still requires me to take LRT to school years back.

Then, I reach Senja. I even took a picture of the map, so I know how to get there and I wouldn't get lost along the way.

Soon, I arrived at the place. The rest of the guys were already waiting for me. I quickly change and played in the left mid position. In the first half, we were down 2-0. In the 2nd half, I scored the 1st goal for my team, but only after they netted two more. In the end, we lost 4-7. I felt slightly feverish after the match, as it drizzled when we were playing. I also had a slight twist on my right ankle.

I went home taking the LRT. I got home at round 12+. Then due to fatigue, I slept. Little that I knew, my sleep increased my fever. I got up and bathed. I even do not have the appetite to eat, but I know I had to. I just force feed myself.

I knew I had work to do, so I did, but all of it I did it half way. Then, I talked on the phone with my gal for a while. Her voice did comfort me in times like these. I truly love her a lot. Went to sleep early, as I need the energy for early class tomorrow.

Episode: time with you
Saturday, July 26, 2008

It has been a very long time since I last went out with my gal. Fortunately, today I get to do so. We were suppose to go Clarke Quay to do our GEMs field trip 2. We met at 2.30 and made our way there by train.

Soon, we got there and we took some photos.

She look very beautiful with that purple top and black skirt. Simple, but nice..hehe. I am kind of jealous of her having so many new clothes. I want some new clothes too.

Then, we went towards City Hall and went to Marina Square to fill our stomach. We wanted to go Cavana , but when we were there, it had been changed to another shop. It was too bad that it got closed down, as it was one of the few Halal food restaurants there. So, we changed our plans and we ate at Long John Silver's. I tried the new mango fish wrap, and it was very nice. It was filled with mango sauce that enhances the flavour of the fish inside the wrap.

Then, we went to Muji store there to get something. I find the place sells normal things, but we take these things for granted in our lives. The things there are designed in a way, so the price might be slightly higher. Do visit this store. It is at Marina Square 2nd floor on the opposite end of the Center Stage.

After that, we went home. Got home at around almost 9. Today was very awesome! Actually very time I go out with my gal and spend quality time with her usually is..hehe.

Episode: get it on

This happened on Friday. Got to school with my gal. Today, had a small presentation on the 60 'Aidieation' sketches. It was more like consultation to help us move on. For the rest of the day, my group and myself discuss about the assignment and how to get going.

Then, I went home. Got the the mosque for prayers and was on my way back to school. In school, for the 1st time ever I played with my PSP. I played bomberman with Syafiq and Shah. Then, we played Taitee. Syafiq lost so many times and I was the most lucky one, as I got twos in almost every hand. It was fun.

Then, in studio, Syafiq, Dennis and Desiree wanted to make this video about their History presentation. So, I helped them by becoming the well renowned chef from my History presentation. I should be very comical, I know. Look out for their video this Thursday in class. I will.

Then, I had to go off for my CCA. I was late, but do I care? No. Simply because the coach does not care. It seems that he does not want to see me play. I may have the respect from the players, but I do not think I get it from him, yet. Anyways, Takraw was ok, I was not on form at first, but after a while I got my game.

It finished at around 8.30, and as usual we go bathe and then chill at food court 5 before going home. But when they want to go eat at food court 5, I skipped it and went home with Rusydi. Got home at around 9+. Then for the rest of the day, I rested.

Episode: hopefully not late
Thursday, July 24, 2008

This happened on a Thursday. I got out of my house at 9. My class was suppose to start at 9, but when I reached there the attendance was not marked yet. So, to say I am lucky not getting my attendance to be marked late even though I came at around 9.30.

After that MM class, went back to studio and got my envelope ready with all the requirements of the Muji competition. Ivan sent two, while I sent only one. We were waiting for Glenn, but he had to redo his layout as my lecturer told him to.

After a while, Ivan and myself went to the Bukit Batok Post Office to send our designs.

We arrived there and there wasn't actually any queue. It was quite quick for us to get to the counter. We agreed to just send the mail using normal air mail. Though they cannot confirm if the package would get bent on its journey to Japan. The mail cost us around more than $3.

Then, I led Ivan to Rex chicken rice stall for our lunch. We ate there until around 1.40. Then we decided to go back to studio by taking bus. On one of the stops, arrived a group of people. I find them very familiar. After a while I nudged one of them to confirm weather they were Edmushyta from the Suria Anugerah band. In fact they were. I introduced myself as the one who designed their band's name. I thought that the paper I drew was still with them, but they said that Mediacorp was keeping it. I should have scanned it before giving, to keep as a part of my portfolio.

Got back to studio at around 2.20+, class had already started. But again, I was not marked as late as the lecturer knew that we were sending the Muji competition, I think. I hope I was not marked as late.

After the class, I stayed in the studio for a while before I went home. Got home, I quickly get started to watch all 14 video presentation and took down notes. Thus, it would be easier for me when doing the quiz.

Episode: on print
Wednesday, July 23, 2008

Got to school with my gal. She had to send me her thumb drive to let me print her report at my studio. Got to my studio at around 9. So, I started to print the report, then at the same time I printed out the GEMS work too. An hour later, I met my gal to go to have brunch. Got to Bagus to fill our stomach.

After that, I went back to the studio to do the layout for the Muji design. I had to consult my lecturer too. When I got back there was an 'EXIT' meeting. Thought I was not involved, so I ignored at first. But then the lecturer asked from across the room whether I am done with my Muji work. So, I joined along. After a while, I just walked off. It was not because I was rude or anything, its just that I will be having GEMS.

Met my gal, but we met so that she could tell me that she was not going for GEMS. She had some errors on her report and wanted to go home and do it up. I had to stay online in school so as to print out the pages she needed. Then, she went home.

GEMS was alright. Today, I was the most responsive in the class. The lecturer went through the brain teaser. He gave us clues. With the clues, I just shouted out the answer and most of it is correct. Awesome!

After GEMS, got back to studio. I printed out my gal's report and and for the most of the time did Muji. I did everything, until it was done. Thanks to my lecturer, Ivan and Carolyn for the envelope, and the rest of you guys had who helped me in completing the Muji forms. At 8, I went home with Ivan.

Saw Saf at Dover MRT when I was on the way home. She had her SSP before this. When I got my station, I called up my gal to ask where to meet her. We met, and I gave her reprinted report.

Since I was there, I visited my area's Bazaar. It had been set up for around weeks now, and today was my first time visiting it. I bought myself some finger food home.

Got home nearly 9. Had my dinner and just chilled for the whole day. I want some rest. We all do, but for now till 3 more weeks, just keep pushing that pedal to the metal.

Episode: all in a day's work
Tuesday, July 22, 2008

Got to school, I was on the way when I noticed this. Take a look.

Take a closer look..

You can find this at Jurong East MRT, the platform that is towards Pasir Ris. Yup, the fine was reduced from $5000 to $500.

Anyways, I thought that today was to go to MM, so I went to the T12. I went in looking for my classmates, but they were not there. I was wondering where they went off to. So, I called Ivan. He told me that he is in the studio. How embarrassing. Today was suppose to be having class in the studio, but I went elsewhere.

In the studio, I showed my lecturer my new Muji design. It was the disposable bin made from paper. It was turned down as it was not Eco-friendly. I was running out of time. Most people had already moved on to their presentation pages, while I was still in 'Aidieation' stage.

The lecturer gave me an hour to think of a new design. So, what I did was to look at my pencil case, and look at the stationeries that I have and start to recall on the ways that I use them. I came up with a few, but I chose the ruler concept. It was accepted. I was glad that I could move on.

The next stage, I had to take pictures of the existing ways that people use the ruler. I did, using Carolyn's digicam. Thanks Carolyn. Then I started to lay the pictures and descriptions down on the presentation board.

Had CRS presentation just now. Our group was the first group. It took us a very long time to set up. It was due to the speakers that were inconveniently not working at that time. In the end, we had to show our videos using the laptop's speakers which were not loud. Our presentation went quite alright to me. The questions and answer part was actually the one that I liked, as I found that I could answer most of the questions that were thrown at us. After that I went back to the studio.

Back to doing Muji. I thought it was better to make a mock up for the product page. In the end, I did. I did up the Illustrator drawing and sent it to cut at the workshop. With my lecturer's help, I get to make the ruler by using the laser cutting machine. It engraves the number and lines, and then cut the shape of the ruler.

Then, I ran to the photo studio to take pictures of the product that I had made. It looks great! At that time, Icy was doing her photo shoot too.

For the first time, I stayed in school until around 9. I was really really glad every time I look at the ruler design that I had made. My lecturer gave a comment, saying that the concept and design was strong. The little detail that I put in my ruler really made the difference. I still could not believe that in one day, I could almost finish a design. From 'Aideation' all the way to making the product.

Reached home at around 9.30, had my first and only meal for the day and then got back in doing my work. Still lots left, so I got to get going.

Episode: hard at work
Monday, July 21, 2008

So much things to do, in so little time now. Even though I had bits and pieces of my work done, yet I still worry about not completing it on time. Today's class had three lectures non-stop. Though I tried to pay attention, I really feel like continuing on my work. It was in a way like a roadblock when the lecturer gave us small exercises to do. I mean, there are much more important works and submissions coming soon, and small work was given to us.

A guest lecturer came and gave us some lecture about 3D modeling. He would have a much more memorable time if he came when EXIT is in session. Too bad for him, the class was half dead when it was his turn to give a lecture.

After that, we were given a break, but I chose not to go for it. Instead, I worked on my Shu Uemura design. All I needed to do is to consult, then after scanning, improve on it and then print it out. I did exactly that.

Then, break was over. Next was to consult my lecturer about the 50+ and also the beverage as well as the Muji design. I did none of that. Instead I did the powerpoint slide for tomorrow's CRS presentation. I did my part, gladly Ivan did his, but Yikai did not do his and Glenn was too worried about our topic, instead on focusing on his own. Spent the whole day doing CRS powerpoint. We had to, as tomorrow was the presentation.

Gladly after doing the slides, Kah Hui came with Oops! goodie bags for he whole class. There were limited edition Coke zero and the bag itself. It was a paper bag, I did not bother to look what was inside until I reach home.

There were Oops! magazine, a towel, a foldable freezbie, and Mooks discount thingy.

The Coke limited edition drink was not for sale. It was a collaboration of Coke zero with Flesh Imp.

When I came home, the first thing I did was to eat, as I was starving. My aunt came to look after my grandma while the house was empty. When I was eating, I remembered that my aunt used to fold us some magazine to create these disposable waste food bin.

Then I though, wouldn't it be great if this was industrialised and sold to many. I even though about putting this into my Muji competition. After asking my aunt about the origins of this product, she said it has never been sold anywhere, only made my people. She even taught me on how to do it. I called up my lecturer to ask weather this could be Muji. He was not sure about it, so I sent him some pictures of the product-to-be. Hopefully, he agrees with this. If he doesn't, them I am back to my previous design.

I was really tired today. I just wished that I was a robot, so I am able to work 24/7 to complete the tons of work at hand.

Episode: a fairy tale
Sunday, July 20, 2008

For the whole day today, I stayed at home..again. As usual, I spent my time doing my assignments. I completed the History and Theory of Ideas assignment and also my GEMS hands-on work 3. The rest of my day was boring, so I am going to tell you guys on how I approached my GEMS hands-on work 3.

We had to come up with a tale by using the S.C.A.M.P.E.R method. The topic example given were Haunted house, Spider-man 4, Die Hard 5 and Mummy 3. From what I see, the topics bring us to do something like a sequel to these movies. Then I thought, why not making a prequel to a famous fairy tale. Wouldn't it be interesting? I thought about it long and hard. In the end, I came up with this.

Title: Little Alice-before the red hood

S - substitution ( to replace the big bad wolf with a younger wolf)

C - combination ( to combine a mother with culinary expertise to create a mother with many secret recipes)

A - adaptation ( to adapt the usual happy ending with an open-ended ending leading to Little Red Riding Hood)

M - magnify/minimize ( magnify the reality of normal lives)

P - put to other use ( the red hood was previously used for riding horses)

E - eliminate ( remove the violence )

R - rearrange ( run away to hide rather than killing the wolf)

Let me begin the story:

This is a story of a child named Alice, who had never given her mother’s cooking a miss. She lived in a house with two other; one was her mom, while the other was her grandmother. Her mother was very good at cooking. All her dishes were lovely. Up to a point that it even made her friends filled with envy. Everybody wanted to have a taste of her dishes as it was too delicious. She closed her restaurant a year before, because her recipes were what her rivals were looking for.

Now, only Alice and grandmother would enjoy her creations, as they were of relation. Alice’s mother often travels on a horse, to get her ingredients of course. One day her supplies ran out. She told Alice and grandmother to take care while she goes to the market to get carrots and some bean sprouts. She went off, after having cushioned her seat with a red cloth.

Soon, a young wolf passed by, wanting to give her dishes a try. Alice just ignored the wolf, as her mother said not to talk to strangers especially the ones with big tooth. The young wolf walked away and warned her, that he would eat Alice instead when he gets older.

Her mother got home after some time. After Alice told her mother about the wolf, her mother demand that they move, and not to even leave a dime. They moved to a simple house near the sea and her recipes are kept far away where no one would ever see. Just to keep an eye on her recipes, grandma volunteered to keep it safe somewhere beyond the forest trees.

Grandma had a house there, where she spends most of her childhood. At times grandma would miss mother’s cooking, so Alice thought of a plan of visiting grandma to bring her food every other evening. To hide her identity from the wolf, she made something to cover herself up with the red cloth her mother had and it was smooth. Alice was no longer her name, whenever she visits grandma, she would stuff her basket filled with food, and everyone recognises her as Little Red Riding Hood.

The End

The rhymes took me quite some time to do. But I hope you guys liked it as much I enjoyed creating it. (This fairy tale story is fictional. Any similar situations with the story are just coincidental. - copyright of Muhammad Junaidi bin Abdul Wahid)

Episode: doing nothing else
Saturday, July 19, 2008

Well, got up today quite early in the morning. Today, I just spent the whole day at home. Before I started doing my work, I played Patapon until I finished the game. The ending was kind of lame. I guess there would be Patapon 2 or something like that.

Well, on with my work, I did the CRS powerpoint slides today for my part. Soon, I stopped and look at the works on top of the rest of the works that I already had. Now, I had the new History and Theory of Ideas work and GEMS. In my GEMS, I have three hands-on works, two field trip assignments and three blackboard quizzes. So far, I have done 2 hands-on works, one field trip and two of the quizzes. Still left with one of each left. I want to complete all these work as fast as possible, as I do not want any more delays on the more important works.

Yesterday, while I was on the way home, I saw this street art competition. I checked it out on its official website and downloaded its entry form. This was the competition:

It was a duo kind of competition. So, I called up my friend to join, but he was still unsure. Well, its ok. I do not know if I am piling my own stacks of work in front of me, but it seems that I am kind of greedy in joining competitions. I have the intention to join the logo design competition, the Muji design competition and the furniture design competition. These are all out of school works. School works, there are even more. Some of my classmates who does not even join any competition or get involved in the studio production like EXIT, are struggling to complete their work. Hey, I am not Superman. But, I believe if I manage to go through tons of work without ignoring life now, then multiple works or assignments in the future would not bother me.

For the rest of the day, I just did my work. Started on the History and Theory of Ideas work and the hands-on work three. Soon, all that is left are just my school works and some competitions. It sounds not much, but if you were me, you wished that you were a robot, not sleeping or eating, just do work 24/7.

It is difficult to juggle the things in life, but I believe that practice makes perfect.

Episode: after a long break
Friday, July 18, 2008

Class started at 8 today. Got to school with my gal. Today was as per normal again. All we needed to do is to consult our lecturer on our designs. What I did today, was to settle the CRS work. I think I did my part so far. Now I have to wait for the rest of my group members to send me their structure so that I could go do up the power point presentation. I guess I have to wait until Monday to do so. Monday night I have to rush up to do the slides, as the presentation will be on Sunday.

Anyways, had fun at studio. Glenn cut up some yellow post-it notes. Then he left it there for awhile. What I did was to take some of those post-it strips and pasted it inside his drawing block but the tip of it sticking out. It looks like this in the end.

After school, went back home before going for prayers. I took a bus back to school after that. I was in back in school for three things. The first one is for the EXIT meeting, the next one is for Muji design competition consultation and the last thing was to go for my CCA. It had been about three weeks since I last went for my CCA.

Well, I think I did OK for someone who have missed training for weeks. I was not that bad at all. Then, the hall was filled with badminton players after that.

Before going home, we chilled at food court 5. They played PSP, while I blog here..hehe. Soon, it was time to go home.

Episode: step by step
Thursday, July 17, 2008

Got to school with my gal. I was marked late again. Well, the whole day just to just do our own work. I sat at my place, took out my copic markers and started to do my 2nd Shu Uemura design. Before that, I did up my GEMS work.

During that time, I was testing my copic markers for the colours. I did some strokes. What Glenn did to the strokes, simply makes me smile. He just drew some random sketches of some cars in between the strokes. It was nice! Brilliant. I even put this as my current wallpaper.

Then, Ivan had this in class. Everybody had their happy faces on when they get a hold of it. It was tickle me Elmo. It kept laughing and laughing. The thing that really makes it special was when Elmo rolls around on his belly and after the laughs, he can get back on his feet.

Had History and Theory of Design class next, but there were no lectures. Instead there were only presentations and he gave us homework that has questions on previous lectures. It was to see whether we payed attention in his previous lectures.

Before I know it, the day was over. I headed home with my gal. When I reach home, I played Patapon. Played it until around 7 or so. I planned to do my work, but for these past few days I have been doing quite a number of work, I think I need a day's rest.

Episode: more you than school
Wednesday, July 16, 2008

Went to school with my gal early in the morning around 9 her class starts. Though I had no class today, I just feel like sending her to school early and at the same time go to my studio and do my work.

While waiting for her to arrive, I saw this at the MRT station next to the MRT track map. I though it was an art advertisement at first, but when I came closer, it was a bus route map. It looks very complicated, and the words are quite small. It was fascinating.

The time for me to get to my studio after sending my gal to her class already took me around 20minutes. By the time I get started on my work, she had just finished her 1hour class. Then, we decided to go to IMM to eat. Went to Bagus for our brunch.

After that we went back to school. I escort her to her class. She had an hour of class again. So, by the time I got to do my work at my studio which was quite a distance away from her class, I had to pack up and go for my GEMS. My GEMS class was with her, so we met up before going to class.

The GEMS class was just video viewing. The videos that was shown, I saw it before. So, the class today was totally nothing.

Then, before going to west mall to get something, my gal went to collect her CCA shirt. We were tired by the time we were looking around at the mall. So, we went home. Took the bus home. It has been sometime since I last took a bus home. I like the ride.

Episode: look who's talking
Tuesday, July 15, 2008

Well, school was just another work day. I spent the first few hours of my time chasing my classmates for their work submissions which was suppose to be handed in yesterday. When Glenn tried handed in for me, it was rejected as only half the class handed in yesterday. I got tired with this, so I came to each and everyone of them who have not done so. It was time wasting, and I should be doing something else that is worth my time other than chasing for submissions.

I sat down on my desk hours later, and found out that it was almost time for break. Thus, I skipped break and did my work, as much as I can. Consulted my lecturer today, consulted him on every work that I had. It felt better, and I could go on forward with my work after that. Around that time, I was talking to my Chinese classmates in Malay as though they know what I was talking about..haha. It was hilarious to see their blur look on their faces. Often, the majority would speak in their mother tongue around minorities. It does make the minorities feel a little bit or maybe quite alienated due to the language gap. Now, look who is talking.

Soon, it was time for CRS. About an hour before that, I went down to food court 3 to eat. Yup, I went down by myself, as I skipped the earlier break and I was way too hungry at that moment. After eating, went for CRS.

The three topic for today was about Brain dead people, Gay marriages and keeping pets. It was in a way interesting that the whole class participated in the presentation. One last thing that made me feel proud was when the CRS lecturer told us that she always like power point slides done by design students, as it would often look great.

After the class, I though of going home with my gal, but she had this talk and it ends at 6. I had to be at my grandma's house at around 7, so I just stay in school. Than, Ivan wanted to go to the workshop to do up his model, so I followed him and at the same time prepared for mine.

Went up to the prototyping lab, and saw Peiyu's workpiece in the CNC machine. It was still cutting. Imagine, it takes hours to just complete a student's prototype. How about 42 students?

There was even a list of who is going to use the CNC machine next. As you can see only a few had done using the CNC machine, many more still on the waiting list and I was the last one in that list. I think I have to wait or do other works in the mean time before I can start using the CNC machine. My wait would probably take weeks.

After that, around 6+ I walked towards my grandma's house. Over there, there were my cousins and the rest of my family members. We gathered there to say some prayers to my late great grandmother and the rest of our family members that had past away before us. At around 10, my family and I went home.

Episode: 2years 9months
Monday, July 14, 2008

After some time of celebrating something for every month, it feels as though it is just another day. Couples often count every month from the time they get together. Maybe this was implemented in boy girl relationships due to many breakups going on during that time. Having to stay together for months, meant for some celebration.

Having to stay together for years, somehow means that the monthly celebration fades away slowly but surely. Without realising, that day seems just like any other day. You do not feel the need to celebrate it anymore like you used to. Special days are deemed special, as they only occur once in a long time. A month is a long time depending on how you spend it. But that is not what I meant. My point is, a day is special when you know and feel that it is.

Today was our 2years and 9months being together. There were many ups and downs during that time, but we learn to accept each other somehow. The day felt like any other day to me, though I knew we used to mark out today, but today feels normal.

Went to class as usual. Class was as per normal. Small exercises were given to do and submit. Submission time was the usual, some submitted late while some submitted in other forms. When it was time for break, I did not go for it(used to it). Our lecturer told us to consult him, but as usual he is occupied most of the time. Went home early, as I feel that there was nothing left other than consulting my lecturer who is at the moment occupied and I was starting to feel hungry.

Got home with my gal. At home, the first thing I did was to fill my stomach. At the same time I watched some TV. Then, I feel like sleeping, so I did. Got up, had dinner and then I did my work late at night. Miss Universe was on at that moment. Nice! Got me distracted most of the time..hehe.

Episode: sunshine
Sunday, July 13, 2008

It was around almost 10 when I saw this guy walking. He wore, hmm..I am not sure what he is wearing, but it was eye catching in a way. Just look at him.

Got home, did my work. Well, the PSP distracted me for a while, but I think I did what I needed to do for the day. My parents planned to go out for a bowl at night, but I told them that there was Hellboy at 7+, so in the afternoon at around 4.30 or so, we went for bowling.

It had been a long time since I last bowl. I was not as good as I was before. I am not going to tell my scores, but I assure you that it was bad..hehe.

After that we went home and watched Hellboy. After Hellboy went down for dinner. I had chicken chop. Got home as fast as I could to catch another one of my regular shows. It was Pushing Daisies. Though it might be confusing, but the show was great.
