Look at Ren. He is embracing the moment before going to Tokyo. It says it on his shirt.

Isa brought along his video camera. Awesome! We can make home videos..Oops. I mean we can record down what awesome at Tokyo.

One last photo before we invade the land of the rising sun.

Soon, we got on the plane and anticipate the 7 hours flight to Tokyo. Sitting next to me is Yusri and next to him is Wei Jie.

This is Shah. 1st time taking a flight. Must me scary for him. Haha. Look at his face..
7Hours and a few in-flight movies later..We landed at Narita Airport! Yusri,Yusri..so eager to get the fun times rolling.

Arrived!

Soon as we past the immigration check point, we were escorted to our bus for our tour and the next destination. It was cooler outside, but nothing I can't handle. I've experienced worse in Milan.

Ok, a shot of me with silly hair.

That is our bus man, our tour guide from Chan Brothers. His name is Ronnie. He is such an awesome guy. He is a Singaporean earning a living in Tokyo.

During the bus ride. I could not believe that I am in Japanese soil. Until, I got an SMS..you have reached Tokyo, overseas calls are...blah blah. I still have that SMS in my phone as it was really awesome. Just being in the number 1 country on my list of travels..the feeling is like, I keep pinching myself. So nice to be in Tokyo..

Yeah..That is the Tokyo Tower.

Two of my friends who are syked about being in Tokyo.

Tokyo, here I come.

The 1st stop was at Nezu Museum. We set foot there and all our cameras come out. Time to snap snap. Enjoy the pictures.

Next, we board the bus again. And its time for lunch. Ronnie brought us to Ginza! When we got there, the lot of us were separated into two groups. The first group went out to eat 1st, next its our turn, the Malay's turn (as we need food that is as close to Halal).

Ronnie escorted us to our food.

On the way there, I recognised this. This Swarovski display is done by a famous Japanese Designer I met in Milan. His name is Tokujin. I did not get to go in, but I find the outlet to be fantastic. Great design!

Since we are here in Tokyo. Ronnie brought us to a Sushi cafe. A REAL sushi cafe in Ginza!

There is only one chef to make our sushi and the food are served on the conveyor belt. It was my 1st time tasting real Japanese green tea. It was BLAGH! But, tastes is not everything, I like how it eases the tension in the body.

Look at the Sushi lover Saf. I have never seen her eyes open that big. Especially after eating Sushi like this.

I'll come again. Just you wait.

Oh ya. We went in the actual Uniqlo store in Japan.

The stuff there are the same as what you can find in Singapore's outlets.

Me and Ginza! Oh ya, it was my 1st time dying my hair. Look at my brown hair. Nice eh? Wait, I have not styled it up yet.

While we were walking around during our free hour, we came across a vending machine that sells Japanese cigarettes. IN A VENDING MACHINE! So, we tried, but to no avail. We actually need a Japanese IC to purchase it.

They bought is anyways in a store nearby. They went off enjoying their cigarettes. Oh ya, in Japan you cannot smoke cigarettes while walking. Its the law.

Came across awesome stores on our way back to the bus.

Back in the bus again, and next to our next destination.

We landed at the famous Harajuku. A place where cosplay is widely celebrated.

Since we were there to do ethnography, we went out in our groups. We walked here.

I was here.

This is probably where the Japanese get their cosplay costumes.

Hey a 7-eleven!

Lots to shop here. Especially clothes.

Oh ya..we went to Harajuku Daiso. 4 fantastic floors of Daiso stuff at 100yen each. Exchange rate SGD1 = 60yen. Around there la.

Here where Mabok and JK is standing, every Sunday, the cosplay people will be strolling around.

Guess what time is this photo taken? It is at 6pm. We went to put our stuff and settle in the hotel (Shinjuku Washington Hotel) and when we got out for dinner somewhere, it was this dark. One of the reason why it is call the land of the rising sun is because the sun rises very early, and my 5pm, the sun starts to set. That is why, by 6pm its dark outside.

We had dinner somewhere I can't remember.

I changed into something geeky. Who cares? It already at night.

We had some steamboat seafood + veggies. Not really nice, but food..so we eat.

It was around 10pm, the streets were already quiet. Plus, we were tired, jet lagged and we went to our rooms and hit the hay.
