Well, today I just sat at home did nothing. I did went for Friday prayers in the afternoon with my dad and as we were on the way towards the mosque we saw this group of Malay guys and gals Hari Raya-ing. It looks as though there is nothing wrong, but in my eyes they did something disrespectful. The Malay guys should go for Friday prayers instead of going house to house out in the open celebrating Hari Raya at this time. These are Mat Reps. All they do is bring shame to the Malay community. Why oh why? Since I did not go anywhere or do anything interesting today, let me bring up a topic to blog about. Hmm, oh ya. This year's Hari Raya to me was not as vibrant and exciting as the past years. From the start of the fasting month, people start playing Hari Raya songs, it disgusts me. I do not know why, but I just officially dislike Hari Raya songs. Fasting month falls on my holiday. The only long holiday left, as next semester's holiday I will be having Internship. When Hari Raya comes, I just feel like getting back to enjoy my holiday, or whats left of it. The first day of Hari Raya, my dad is working, so we just sat at my grandma's house from that morning until night. It was kind of boring staying there, while other people are going house to house. Ya, I am a bit jealous. My cousins are now more matured and they hardly create havoc now like they did last time. Ever since my grandfather left, my aunts and uncles from my dad's side somehow hide their faces from my family. I still have yet to visit their house. One huge part that makes this year's Hari Raya one to forget is the fact that all of the above combined and Hari Raya is now more than a day or two thing, it could last up to a month. Well, it gets really outdated when a few weeks after Hari Raya people still want to celebrate it. That brings to the upcoming Hari Raya secondary school friends outing. It would be on the 18th of this month. First, school has started. When school has started, people might have their CCA on that day and when school starts, Hari Raya is somehow officially closed. Next, I doubt that every single one of my secondary school friends have their own life, so it is difficult to get all of them together only for that day. Why would they join or even think about joining when the past is the past and the present is way better? Lastly, it would no longer be a Hari Raya secondary school friends outing, it would be changed to "Hari Raya secondary school friends plus boyfriends and girlfriends outing". You guessed it. It would no longer be just us secondary school friends, the rest of them would probably bring along their partners. This year's Hari Raya is one that I wish to forget and not to repeat next year.
