Episode: mom's birthday

Today my family and I went to Vivo City to celebrate my mom's birthday. We went out at around 3.30pm and got there by train. My dad did not come along, as he had to keep an eye on my grandma at home.

Met my brother at Swensons, but in the end we went to Secret Recipe to have lunch together.

This was my first time tasting the pumpkin soup, and it was not bad.

I ordered the Tom Yam spaghetti, it was very delicious. One stupid thing I did when having lunch today. I tasted a bit of the dried chili with the spaghetti and it is quite nice. I thought having more of the dried chili would be great, so I took a whole dried chili and ate it with the spaghetti. I thought wrong. It was actually very hot. It was so hot that I felt the I had just pierced my tongue a few times. The pain stayed there for quite some time. I give the pain a rating of 9/10.

After the meal, we went shopping for my mom's birthday present. We went to Crocs.


As we were going out, my family saw this Crocs design competition outside the shop. They persuaded me to join, so I did. I signed up and...


I got the awesome brochure and one side of the Crocs shoes as a 3D template. Awesome! I did not mind, as I could spend my up coming holidays doing what I like most; design.

We were planning to go Sentosa to watch the songs of the sea, but since it rained the whole day, we thought of a plan and in the end went to Giant to find some stuff for home.

We did not went home after that, instead we went to Banquet to have some hot drinks to warm ourselves up. At the same time, we ate some finger food.

Before going home, we bought the birthday cake at where else..

The Coffee Bean.
We took the cab home. Reached home at around 8.45pm. Another thing that my brother bought for my mom is this tart. It is rose flavoured. It smells like rose and even taste like one, not that I eaten roses before.

Surprise surprise! This was the cake we bought at The Coffee Bean. It is chocolate strawberry cake. It looks very appetizing.

Lit up the candles. And took some photos.


This was the Crocs shoe box. This was on it. Cool man!

Finally, after blowing the candles, we got to taste the cake. It was so delicious! I wanted more, but I think I should not, as I think I ate a lot today. Got to take care of what I am eating..hehe.

This was the Crocs shoe that we got for our mom. It has heels, and my mom really wanted another Crocs shoes as the other one she had had gone through enough wear and tear.

Today was great, because I got to eat a lot of awesome food and it was a special day; my mom's birthday. Just wished that it did not rain today. As lots of plans were spoilt due to the rainy weather.
