Episode: 50+ workshop day one

Got this dream about design, then suddenly, I thought about today's workshop. I woke up and then, Oh no! The time was 9.45. I was suppose to be in school at 9. I blame it on yesterday's match. Stupid Portugal, lose to Swiss. Waste my time only, I thought they would give a fight, but it was disappointing.

Well, I got to school at 10.15.. The briefing just started.


Then, we were separated into groups. My group colour is blue. It has always destined to be. My group contains the best of the best, yeah..awesome! Got Rui Hon, Ivan(Birthday boy) and Glenn. Awesome! My name tag. (Blue team)


Then, we went to T14 design studio for our workshop. There, we were separated to smaller groups. My group is group number 10. My group consist of a year 3 Interior design student, a 60+ couple who originated from Myanmar and another 50+ lady, who was good in her English language. Then, all the students gathered for a short briefing on how the interview is suppose to go on, and the photo-montage thing.


Before it all started, we had our lunch. The food was just right outside the studio.

After eating, at 1, we started the interview. It went alright. The 1st 50+ I interviewed had a good English Language. There was this time, where I misinterpret my question, and she corrected it countless times. I was so embarrassed. I know, my English can be a little bit off, but ahh never mind.

At the same time, while one is being interviewed, the rest did the photo-montaging. They were given magazines to cut out and paste pictures on an A2 board about their aspirations, hopes and fears. My 50+ in action.


It was very very weired to be telling the 50+ to do such things. Its because of the age gap and I don't know, it was just weird. Anyways, after that, they had to present to everybody about their montage and why they chose the pictures to be pasted there.


After that, all the photo-montages had to be pinned up on the wall for all to see.


Then, debrief and while all the 50+ went home, the students had to stay back for a while.


Then, it was time that we( Glenn, Ivan, Rui Hon and myself) went to Azimuth. But before that, took a picture with the Birthday boy himself with his present, from Dennis. That is so thoughtful of Dennis.


Like I said, we went to Azimuth. Got in an MRT with lots of DXDP classmates, who want to celebrate Ivan's birthday. They had to wait, because we had to present our ideas to the Azimuth guy.

Got the Raffles Place, went to the CBD and got up the forth floor, there is were the Azimuth shop is. The interesting part is that there were couches and a table in the shop for customers. It was cool, as they treat their customers as guests. Well, the pitching went quite ok.

After that, it was around almost 7. They went to celebrate Ivan's birthday, with the rest of them. I went to find my gal. She was at Suntec TCC doing her project. I reached there at around 7, and sat near the place. After an hour, she finished her project for the day. I almost fell asleep while waiting for her.

We decided to go to Banquet at Vivo to eat. I had only $4 in my wallet, just enough for food. On the way there saw Rafiq, and when we reached there, Yuni and his M.I friends who had just got back from Sentosa were there to have dinner there too. I knew his M.I friends, as they are my friends too. As I went over to greet them, Myda greeted my gal. My gal got confused because she had never met Myda before. I think she knew about my gal when she was looking at our friendster pictures. Thanks Yuni, for loaning me some money for drinks. N my gal too, she treated me a bit. Thank you!

Well, after the meal, we went home. Reached home at 10+.
