School was alright. We actually did nothing much except for our 50+ models. Today, was the last day that the workshop is open before our submission. It was opened only until 12noon, as unfortunately today is a half day in SP. I only managed to cut a few pieces of my materials. There is a high chance that I might not finish the assignment. Anyways, at around 12.30pm, I went home with my gal. I put down my bag and tried to switch on my laptop to do work. Somehow my photoshop is unable to work properly. Restart my laptop, but when I am at the desktop, it hung. How am I going to do work now? Then, John called me to say that the workshop is opened but only the top floor that has the laser cutter and CNC machines. I machines that I need to use was on the bottom floor and it is locked. Since I can do nothing, I got to the workshop to just use the laser cutter to cut a rectangular shape. 30minutes later, I got there. It was not a good idea to laser cut a PVC, as it burns and gives out highly toxic gases and product brown dust.  That was it. I just got back to school for that. Then, I head down to the studio. There were a few poeple there. After a while, Ven, Cher and myself walked to the hardware store. There, I bought sandpaper, a saw, spray paint and screws. Before going home, we had bubble tea. Woohoo! Awesome.. Anyways, the stuff that I bought at the hardware store was really handy. I manage to cut out more pieces and my model is coming into shape.  Then, after doing as much that I could, I thought of doing the 3D modeling and the boards. It was the second time of the day that I switched on my laptop and I was entertained with this. For hours. I could have my dinner, blog and rest for a while, but the screen could only show this. I just got back my laptop, hopeing to do work when I got it back and now, two days later this crap was given to me. I suspect that the Acer guy who was fixing my laptop secretly injected in viruses into my laptop, as a business plan, so that I would go back to the Acer building and spend more money on repairing my laptop. Come on la, I would rather buy a new laptop(not Acer, MacBook probably) and spend my money printing millions of flyers that says, " Do not buy Acer laptops, you would probably spend more than the price stated," and give a very detailed information about it. (just see the queue at the service center. Everyday there is always a long queue. It shows that people come to complain about their Acer products, everyday.) I officially hate Acer. Who is with me? Now, because of this my work is slightly delayed. Thanks Acer. Making my 50+ model is another worry. The workshop will only open after the submission. So, for now I have to craft my 50+ model by hand and try to make it look High Quality. Can it be done? Well, I am Aidie..hehe. Aidie blogged @ 5:43 AM Any "hint hint" that you see is a hint. (May give you some ideas for my birthday present or something like that)Hehe.. I brought my laptop, its charger, my file, my hard disk and all of these made my bag really heavy. Today was LEGO lesson, so the laptop is essential. But, when we came into class, the lecturer just want to look at our designs and consult on how we could input technology into it. The class was suppose to be from 8am to 10am and that was it for today, there were no other lessons. But due to this, we just had around 30minutes of class and then we were dismissed. So, since I had the whole day and planned to go Art Friend to buy my materials, I went there myself. At around 9+, I was there and the whole place was quiet.  Since I had not had my breakfast, I had a Mc Breakfast. Hmm..hotcakes. That's hot..hehe. I really took my time on my meal because Art Friend only opens at 10.30am. This was at 10.20am, shops are just about to open. Came at Art Friend at 10.30am. I was probably the first customer. Found what I needed after a while. I find joy here, lots of stuff here are awesome. Especially the white canvas that I bought. It was only $1.70. I wish to buy more and get some acrylic paints and start to create art. I intend to cover the wall in my room with all the canvases. I would be awesome. I really want to renovate my room. (hint hint) Imagine if I had around 10 or so, that would probably cover my room's wall. Well, more would be better..Hehe. My legs and shoulders were killing me, so I wanted to go home. Before that I went into this book store. This place actually kept me for about an hour. Want to know why? Well, there were a lot of design books. Every time I want to go away, another book pulled my attention. It was like somebody handcuffed me to the store. Here are some books that I find very interesting. (hint hint)  Well, these books do not come cheap. Another awesome book store that I like is PageOne.(hint hint) There, you can find much more design books.My legs hurt and my shoulders hurt even more. So, i went home. But then when I was about to cross the street, I saw Cindy in a cab. She stopped there to shop at Art Friend. She was with Saf. Since I had a lot of time and it was too early to go home, I accompanied them to Art Friend. Then, Cindy went home. Saf wanted to visit some places to buy something, so I accompanied even though my shoulders and legs were complaining to me. Only after that, I went home. On the way home, there were no seats in the train, so I stood the whole journey home. The second I got home, I crashed. I was thirsty, but I was even more tired. After a while, my thirst woke me up. In the end, I did not have a good sleep. Aidie blogged @ 4:54 AM School was suppose to start at 10am today, but I came at 8am. Maybe I was too enthusiastic, I have no idea. Maybe I just like school somehow. For that two hours, that whole studio was mine.  Then I find out that today's lesson is about premier pro. Since my laptop was still at Acer, I did absolutely nothing in the studio except looking at other people doing their work. During break, as usual I did not take it. I just sat in the studio, but then I just walk around the area looking for the washroom.Soon, I sat down thinking and I thought it would be a good idea if I make use of the time to collect my laptop instead of doing nothing in the studio. So, at 2pm, I just left the studio. After a few minutes later, I am here yet again at this wretched place.  Pick up a queue number. Those who want to buy Toto, go ahead. I did not have to wait long for my turn. I wonder why Acer always have a long queue. If it a queue where people would buy their products, it would be OK, but this queue was to find out why their Acer products do not function like it is suppose to. Soon, my number was called. At the end of the whole thing, I had to pay $117. For that small DC cable that was disconnected from my laptop, I had to pay that much. This is really a bad experience, now, do you think that I would consider Acer again in the future?I thought of going home, but if I do, I would be late for the next class, so I just got back to the studio. Well, it was Kelly that gave us a lecture instead of our lecturer. It was interesting and I thought that the lecture topic is really interesting.  Got home at around 6+pm. Waited till about midnight when my dad gets home to celebrate his birthday today. That was the cake.  These were that presents. Mine is the small one. I wrote on one side, "for the mega man in you, you deserve a mega Mc". I wrote it there because, just like the advertisement when the guy hold the gal's purse, this time it's my dad. It was funny. Well, I got him the Muji 90Degrees socks. After that, when I wanted to go blog about today, after I switched on my laptop, for two or three times my laptop hang straight after is start up. I was getting worried. I just hope that the Acer people did not sabo me so that I would come back there and get another repair, thus more money for them. In the end, my laptop is able to work again. Thank goodness, if not I will personally hate Acer. Don't give me anymore trouble now.Aidie blogged @ 9:22 AM My mom said that today we were invited to someone's wedding. So, we did went out and head on down there. It was near Jurong area. Like anyother wedding, we ate, I was blur, my parents chat with their friends. In fact it was my dad's friend's daughter who is getting married. At around 1pm, when we decided to go home, I saw Farhana there. I just said Hi, and she said she'll get back to me(she was eating then), but I don't think she would.  Anyways, I talked to my parents in watching Bedtime Stories, they bought three tickets at West Mall. But, the ones watching were my parents and my sister. Since I watched it already, I had to sit at home look after my grandma.Well, I did for a while, but then i watched Yes Man on the net in my room. At night, I thought that we were going out as a family to a restaurant and feast, but it did not happen. We can't go far when my grandma is at home. So, we just went down to the nearest Kopitiam and eat.  It was alright. Tomorrow school starts. I am not anxious for school to start this time. I usually am, but this time I am not, maybe I have not done one work that is due January. I hope to complete is as soon as possible. I know there is more work to be coming soon, I guess there no more time to play around. That time is over as soon at this holiday ends. Goodbye holidays, I am going to miss you.Aidie blogged @ 5:45 AM The house was empty when I woke up. I was planning to stay at home after meeting my gal for a cup of coffee. I just want to spend more time with her, that was why. Since, nobody will be home if I came home after an hour, I decided to bring my folders(just in case I came back home from Changi). Well, it was just chillin when we had our coffee at the Coffee Bean after meeting at 3.15pm. After an hour, she had to go for her CCA at Changi Airport. I just sent her there.  Arrived at Terminal 3 an hour later. There was this huge crowd. I wondered what it was, so I got closer. It was actually some Christmas celebration with Mickey. No wonder there were many kids around.  Then, she left me with a hug. I just slowly head home. The rest of the day was just another typical day at home.I am awefully quiet for the whole day. I want to blog about it, but..nevermind. Just having another episode that leaves me thinking...alot. Aidie blogged @ 8:04 AM Well, got up for Friday prayers and then got home. When I got home, I got ready to go out with my gal. The last time that we went out when it was her birthday. I am glad that I got to spend time with her again. We met at 3pm and head off to City Hall. First, we bought tickets to watch Bedtime Stories at Marina's GV. Then we bought the usuals before entering the cinema. The movie was great! It was very funny. The story line seems interesting. In total, I would rate this movie 4/5 stars, as it was not that laugh like crazy kind of movie. Still, I enjoy all movies that stars Adam Sandler. He is just awesome! Go watch it.  We were hungry after the movie, but before that my gal want to watch a chinese TV show. She brought along the China hand phone with TV, but when we settled at Esplanade and switched it on, it seems that the battery was low. Oh ya, I did get to write on one of the wish spheres. Which wish spheres? These ones. So, we made a move towards a place to have our dinner. We came to LJS near Peninsular. There, while we were eating there was this Indian guy, probably with his gal who kept looking at where we are. After a while, I noticed that he was in fact looking at my gal. I am a guy, so I know every peek move that he makes. My gal was wearing sleeveless and a vest, so I guess the way she dressed somehow attracted that Indian guy. For the whole time he was there, he kept doing obvious peeking at my gal. If it is once or twice is fine, but the whole time making the effort to peek at my gal really piss me off. I felt like giving that guy a punch. I do. But, I do not want to create any trouble and I am not that kind of guy. He was lucky. If he does that to some other guy's gal, he would probably end up with bruises. Then, my gal wanted to go to Bugis to window shop. We were there looking around. There was this one time when my gal put a shirt against me. It was obvious that she wanted to know my size. My birthday is drawing near, "hint hint". Then, we went home. Well, I know that it is difficult for her or any gal who is trying to find a birthday present for a guy. Especially, when the guy just got back from KL with a new wallet, watch, shades, hat. But i would like to see my gal doing this. Aidie blogged @ 9:23 AM Got up at around 12. I do not celebrate Christmas, but for you all who do, well Merry Christmas!! Today's planning was to search for my dad's birthday present. Well, he told us what to get in fact, so all we had to do is just get it. We went to City Link for it. Bought the Adidas jacket and track pants for him. But it seems that the track pants had no size, so we head down to Paragon to get it.  On the way there, the streets at town was covered with party sprays. It was clearer if you were there. It seems that town is dead at that moment. I guess lots of people were indoors celebrating Christmas. After we bought the track pants, I decided to get something for my dad. We went to Muji. At first I did not know what to get, but since I wanted the 90 degrees socks I thought of getting one for my dad too. So I did. It thought that is was affordable, but it costs 9bucks for a pair. My sister was Muji shopping too and seems happy about it. Before going home, we went to Cine's LJS to eat. Only after that we went home. Reach home at around 8pm. Watched Cicakman on TV before going to sleep.Met quite a few people today. Met Marvin, Bob, Wen Zhen, Umar and Hafiz. My mom was like, "It seems that your friends are everywhere". Well, I wish that was fully true. Aidie blogged @ 8:57 AM Slept early yesterday, so that I could wake up early and go for my jog. I have not been joggging for a while, so I guess it is a good time that I start. I mean, nowadays I hardly have time to do other things due to work. I was planning to go out with my gal today, but it seems that she already had plannings of herself. So, today's run was to get my mind at peace. At around 11am, I got out and had a jog at the Choa Chu Kang park link. It is a long clear stretch of running path. I started runnning when the clear path starts. It was drizzling, but since I wore my hoddy, I did not mind the rain. Yes it was cold, that is what I like about the jog. I stopped at the half way line. It seems that the breakfast I had was insufficient. I just had a bread and a few glups of water. My head was spinning when I stopped for a breather. But after a while I got back to my feet and manage to walk back home.  Whatelse can you do in a cold weather like this? Well, sleep of course. Though I tried to sleep, I could not, but I do enjoy the cold weather. For the rest of the day, I watched House Bunny online and played games on my PSP. House Bunny was not bad, I would give it 3/5 stars.My sister went out today, so I asked her if she could get me the new Fall Out Boy Album. When she got back, this is what I got. And she gave it to me as an advanced birhtday present. Thank you!  She bought this for herself. And this.  I guess, there will be more new and awesome songs on my hand phone to listen to while I am with myself doing nothing.Aidie blogged @ 6:19 AM Well, at around 2pm, I accompanied my aunt to the Hospital. My grandma had an appointment. We took a cab there. It wasn't long till we get there.  I wheeled my grandma in here. Waited for hours. This a bad experience. Waiting is one thing, the way that they could eat up your money is another. Soon, we took the medication, paid for it and left. It is true that in Singapore, it is best not to get sick. If you get sick, you will get sicker especially when you take a look at the bill. So, I think I should take care of my health starting from now on.OK, I hear people saying that you would have to get around more than 60% for the OSH exam for you to pass. At first, I did not quite believe it, but just to be in the safe side, I did it again. This time I got 150/200. I guess 75% is more than enough. OK, that is over with. Aidie blogged @ 3:07 AM Got to school at 8.30am or so. My intention was to just hand in the internship form to my lecturer. I did just that right after he arrives. It would seem that the school is getting a fresh coat of paint.  I was to meet Ivan at Raffles at 11am, so in the mean time I just chilled in the studio. Saf and Syafiq came to the studio today to do their work.Then, it was nightmare time. We had to interview a few people for our work. We were at the CBD. Getting 1 is already difficult, imagine doing 20. We had already completed 12, all we had to do is to interview 8 more.  In the end, we completed it at around 4pm. Most of the time we would get "I have to rush". I now officially do not like the word "rush", not at all. But then, we were quite thrilled to have completed it and to complie the data, we went to Ivan's house. On the way there, we encountered an MRT cabin that have no seats. That is new. Soon, we arrived at Ivan's house. The front door, even though it was a HDB flat, was very spacious. In the contrary, Ivan's room was small. Small, but then it was very cosy. After we tabulated the results from the interview, Ivan played a HD movie on his HD screen. It was the Hulk2. It was very clear and I could even see the small details. The Hulk2 was not bad, but right after the movie I head home. Left his house at around 7pm. Now comes the best part of all. The "Aidieation" part..haha! Well, lets get started. Aidie blogged @ 5:02 AM I was suppose to be at Ang Mo Kio MRT at 11am, but I woke up at 10.50am. This is exactly what happens if I woke up earlier, I tend to go back to sleep and then got up late. So, I quickly rushed to Ang Mo Kio. I met the guy at AMK Hub's MOS burger at around 11.45am. Then, he had to pick up his sister somewhere and he left me here at the McDonald's to have my breakfast. When he came back, he had his meal, we had a chat and then out of nowhere, he wanted to see my portfolio and what I have done. So, I showed it to him. I did not only show my portfolio, but also my sketch book and ,my concept design book. He seems interested in a few of my designs, and thought that it was great.(i might be exagerrating here).  Then, he brought me to where I would work. It was actually at his house. There was cool stuff there. There was a place where he set aside to do designs. Well, I saw some of his works and completed designs there. I thought that it was so cool have it manufactured. I wished my designs were too. His parents were not at home, but I got to see his mom's work. His mom does awesome painting on rice paper. Look below. Then, he introduced me to the current work that he is doing and soon after that, I showed him the internship form. He filled it in at that time and at that moment. That confirms that I will be having my internship here at outofstockdesign. To me, though this company is quite new, I believe it has great potentials. I am looking forward to start working here. FYI, it would be my first job in my life. I am glad that it is with outofstockdesign. Woohoo! Awesome!Then, I head back to Ang Mo Kio taking the bus there. The first person to know was my gal and then I told my lecturer and then Ivan.  I kept looking at the paper. I was really excited. My gal replied my message, she was on the way home from a class outing. She decided that we meet, so I waited for her at Ang Mo Kio so that we meet in the train. Soon, she arrived. It was sweet of her to pick me up. Hehe. Then, when it reached her stop she alighted. It was like I am sending her home. Anyways, I was heading to my grandma's house to play more Xbox with my brother, when I saw this. Some 'rich' gal flashing her money at her back pocket. I do not know if she is stupid or just flaunting her richness, but I know for sure that nobody have or have dared to do so. (it is just like wearing a t-shirt that says "Hey I'm rich, come rob me!") I was playing the Xbox with my brother when I reach my grandma's house. Then, at around 10pm, I went home. Tomorrow, I would have to go to school meet my lecturer and give him the internship form, so I though why not I do my OSH also, just to get it over with. I was watching the educational video(to study a bit before doing the exam), but it was way too boring, so after a while(before I doze off) I just do questions. Want to see my grades? Its 100/200. Awesome! Ok, time to sleep. Zzzzzz...Aidie blogged @ 8:15 AM Woke up this morning, I have been looking forward for the interview at 3pm. I did my study about the company and where it was located. So, I went out to Jurong first to buy a folder to keep my portfolio.  I tried to call the company, but there was no answer. So, I called Edwin to make sure. Even Edwin could not go through, so he suggested that I make a move to Ang Mo Kio first. So I did. I reached there at around 2.30pm. I was filling the pages of my portfolio while I was on the train and did some concept sketches, so the destination there felt short. I called the company again, but yet no answer. I was hungry, so I bought some red bean bun. I like red bean buns. While waiting, I went to AMK Hub to get to the Bus Interchange. I might as well wonder around.  The time is 3pm, I satisfied my hunger at McDonald's. Drank this to quench my thirst. Soon, it was 3.30pm, and Edwin told me to call it a day if I still have not get any replies by then. I was walking around the mall, and I found this. People, for your information, this design is copied by Naoto Fukosawa's infobar. Do check it on the net, it is exactly he same well the keys and the way it is coloured are. This is the one by Naoto Fukasawa. Looks similar right? OK, so I head off to my grandma's house as I heard that my brother had just got his Xbox. I took 166 to my grandma's house. It was about an hour journey to my grandma's house, but I like bus rides. I tell you bus 166 goes everywhere. It is interesting to look out the window and look at Singapore. I got to my grandma's house and it's Xbox time! Hahax! Oh, ya the company called me and to reshedule the interview. It will be tomorrow at 11am. We played in the dark, thus the pictures. The best game that my brother and myself played was Army of Two. My brother have around six games. We played until about 10pm and then I went home. So, now I just set my time to wake up tomorrow morning. So wish me luck.
